This snowy time of year makes me think of packing up my bags and heading to the beach. A destination wedding could be "escape" you need from the weather!
What is the precise meaning of a ‘destination wedding’? Well, this is the expression used for a wedding ceremony that takes place in a preferred locality, which is far off from the bride and grooms’ native town. The wedding service and function is held in a locality where everybody including all guests has to take a trip to get to the wedding.
Selecting a locale for your wedding is in all probability the most significant wedding planning choice you will have to make. After all, the locality of your wedding will control many features of your wedding, as well as the cost. For example, many people are now deciding on for a more tropical and out of the ordinary locality to get married, and if you feel like taking a trip to the opposite side of the globe to reach the wedding destination of your dreams, then it can be a lot pricey.
Destination weddings are for sure rising in status. Of course there still are many couples who follow the conventional route of a church wedding, with a reception held in a large banquet hall, destination weddings are undoubtedly an upcoming and new style with many couples wishing to tie the knot.
Why are destination weddings so in style?
Well, one good explanation is that they stand for a holiday for everyone caught up in the wedding and not just a honeymoon for the bride and groom. Some people like to keep it quiet and small and are content with just close friends and family, while there are other couples who prefer a large wedding party traveling along – it is all based on what you want. A destination wedding is also in style with people getting wedded for the second or even third time. They do not want all the bother and regulation of a conventional marriage, they simply want to ‘get away’ and get married.
Things to think about when planning a destination wedding:
• If wanting a tropical wedding, bear in mind that it will be very hot and humid and you and your partner could feel very distressing in your wedding attire
• Do you want only immediate family and friends to come with you, or a bigger wedding party?
• Can all of your guests manage to pay for the traveling costs?
• Can you manage to pay for all your guests who travel with you?
• Do you want to give a second reception back home for friends and family who could not travel with you?
• Is privacy essential to you? Your guests will enclose you for the whole period of your wedding and honeymoon.
Don’t forget that you would be inviting your guests to take the trip with you. However, it’s most probable that your guests will be paying their own way and are basically planning their complete holiday around your wedding. As a result, you will have to give substantial thinking in what both you and your guests want to do prior to and subsequent to the wedding.
To sum it up, destination weddings are getting to be very much in style and because of this there are many travel agents who now concentrate in these types of weddings. Make a choice on how big a traveling party you want and also if the guests can manage to pay for it. Be certain to make some arrangement with your guests if you want a few days of time and space to yourself and your spouse.

Choosing the Perfect Location for Your Destination Wedding

A destination wedding is a wedding that takes place in a location that is not home to either the bride or the groom or their families. Couples may choose a location that they have always wanted to visit for the location of their destination wedding. The couple may also opt to have their wedding in the location of their honeymoon so that there honeymoon will start immediately after the wedding.
There are certain advantages and disadvantages to having a destination wedding. One of the most defining advantages is the ability to have a wedding in a beautiful and exotic location. Another advantage to a destination wedding is that if you choose to honeymoon in the same location you will first of all already be at your honeymoon location at the conclusion of the wedding and furthermore you will likely receive a discount on your honeymoon stay because you have already had your wedding at the location.
One of the distinct disadvantages of a destination wedding is that the planning process can be difficult and that you are often unable to fully enjoy the planning process. Another disadvantage to destination weddings is that they are typically not well attended due to the fact that travel is expensive. A destination wedding can be used as the opportunity to enjoy a long weekend with close friends in a convenient location. The following are a few tips for turning your destination wedding into a fun-filed extended weekend for your guests.
The location of your wedding can play a key role in the style of your wedding. Some couples opt for a ceremony at a church followed by a reception at a catering hall while others may wish to hold the ceremony outdoors but have a reception at an indoor location. Still others choose to hold both the ceremony and the reception at a catering hall. Whichever option you choose for your wedding it is important to ensure that the location you choose has all of the elements that you were seeking in a wedding location such as ambiance, seating capacity, a dance floor or anything else that you require.
Las Vegas is another popular destination wedding location. The lure of a Las Vegas wedding is that there is so much to see and do in this city. Guests can choose to spend their free time gambling, taking in shows or visiting the many famous restaurants in the area. Guests can also choose to visit some of the extravagant and world famous hotels in the area.
Maximum occupancy is another important consideration when choosing the perfect wedding location. While you may really like the intimacy that a quaint location that seats only 50 guests affords, this is not a feasible option for a couple who has invited over 300 guests to their wedding. Likewise a large reception space that is capable of seating 500 people is not a good option for a couple who is planning a small wedding with only a handful of close friends and family members.
It is important to choose a wedding location that is capable of accommodating the number of guests that you have invited without being large enough to accommodate almost twice as many people that you have invited. Choosing a venue that is either too small or too big is not feasible because a venue that is too small will be cramped and may not fit all of your guests while a venue that is too big will be a waste of money because large spaces often include a minimum number of guest required and you may wind up paying for more guest than you actually have in attendance.
New York City is another popular destination wedding location. Guests who travel to a destination wedding in New York City have a variety of activities to choose from while they are vacationing. Museums, plays, operas and sporting events are just a few of the available activities that guests may choose to partake in. Besides these activities, New York City also has some of the best people watching available in the world. The city is literally teeming with interesting characters that delight visitors with their idiosyncrasies. Additionally there are many nightclubs and restaurants that are definitely worth trying.
Choosing the perfect location for your wedding may seem like an impossible task especially if you live in an area that has a number of options. Setting strict criteria for evaluating locations can save you a lot of time and effort. Only visiting venues that meet these criteria will greatly reduce the number of locations that you need to visit.

Why Choose A Las Vegas Wedding

The most heavily populated city in Nevada, Las Vegas is considered not only as a major vacation and shopping destination but also the center of gambling in the United States. Although it is often called Sin City because of legalized gambling and prostitution, availability of alcoholic beverages, and various forms and degrees of adult entertainment, its glamorous and enchanting image has made it a popular setting in the movies and television programs.
Dubbed as "The Entertainment Capital of the World," Las Vegas is not only known for its tourist attractions, but also for its infamous 'Las Vegas Weddings'.
Las Vegas is by far the most popular destination-wedding spot in the United States (and perhaps the world). About 120,000 weddings are held in Las Vegas every year, and it is a perfect place for couples (especially celebrities) who want to get married in a quick and different (or unusual) way.
A lot of couples prefer to have a Las Vegas wedding because of the following advantages:
- It is affordable. Las Vegas weddings cost less than traditional wedding ceremonies.
- It can be held on short notice. Most chapels in Las Vegas allow couples to book for their wedding right away - others even accommodate walk-ins!
- It is convenient. Hotels in Las Vegas usually have their own wedding chapels, with a wedding coordinator that takes in charge of all the preparations - from the flowers and music to the officiant and the souvenirs - and can get in touch with the couple on the phone or even online.
- It is fun. Las Vegas weddings offer couples with a fun and amusing way to get married - even with an Elvis impersonator as their officiant!
- It allows couples to start their honeymoon early. After the wedding, there is no need for couples to board a plane and head out of town - Las Vegas is a great honeymoon destination in itself!
